    Action

    Our work concentrated on the creation of a dynamic brand engagement programme entitled Agthia 2020 Further More Together (FMT). Our work included brand engagement programme creation, brand naming, brand identity creation, brand guidelines, a brand Film, on-going internal communications, annual awards, staff pack, plus a launch event to include the core of the company’s 4,500 valued employees.

    Results

    The programme was a universal success and galvanised the company with a renewed sense of purpose.

    SAMI’s vision is to be among the top 25 defense industries ‎companies around the world by 2030, by developing world-class defense products and services as well as achieving self–sufficiency in Saudi defense industries through the development of cutting-edge technologies and harnessing he best national talents.

    Action

    Our task was to create a coherent brand architecture which would make marketing more efficient and effective by ensuring customers and other stakeholders understand what the SAMI business can do for them.

    Munich based Cevalon clearly understands every aspect of this challenge, with its newly expanded service offering, which provides elite private and corporate concierge, chauffeur, travel and lifestyle management services to the world’s most influential people, their businesses and families.

    In order to prepare Cevalon for their next chapter of successful growth, our task was to create a clear brand positioning strategy, develop a relevant service offering, create an international marketing strategy – and finally bring this thinking to life creatively.

    Action

    Cevalon’s corporate and personal clients value their emphasis on intuitively anticipating, understanding and delivering exactly what every moment demands. Often before their clients know it themselves. We centred our thinking on Cevalon’s extraordinary know-how and exemplary service which puts their clients at ease and at home wherever they are in the world. This sense of purpose became central to our work which encompassed brand definition, brand values, a new comprehensive brand architecture system and service offering.

    Result

    Our strategic work culminated in a refreshed visual and verbal identity system, a new digital ecosystem with an entirely new fully functional responsive user-friendly website built with WordPress CMS, mobile and tablet digital platforms, SEO consultancy, plus the design and production of a premium brochure to be utilised for international marketing. The feedback has been tremendously positive to-date and is contributing to increased demand for Cevalon’s services.

  5. flynas brand design – New Directions for a National Carrier

    New Brand and Advertising Guidelines for Saudi’s National carrier flynas

    Context

    flynas www.flynas.com is a leading low-cost carrier from Saudi Arabia with a young fleet of 26 aircraft, operating nearly 1000 weekly flights to 30 destinations within and outside of Saudi Arabia. Launched in 2007, flynas has successfully operated over 170,000 flights carrying more than 18 million passengers, a number that has steadily grown over the years.

    Ambition

    Following our previous work creating the new brand name and brand identity for flynas in 2013, significant investments were made in enhancing its aircraft fleet and introducing a dedicated Business Class Cabin. Our task was to create a clear set of brand and advertising guidelines which could be used internationally by marketing agencies to ensue clarity, consistency and creative leadership across all communications platforms.

    Action

    Our team lead the development and formulation of the new brand. Alongside our Saudi partners Charisma, we created a comprehensive brand system, addressing consumer research, naming, visual and verbal identity all the way through to launch and campaign strategy. From this we developed a rigorous set of brand guidelines, covering a full suite of core brand identity elements, imagery, advertising, communications, livery and advertising standards.

    Results 

    The work has now been used by a host of international advertising, digital, print and media agencies and has helped the airline win a host of awards from Middle East Leading Low-Cost Airline at the World travel Awards 2015 to Three CMO Asia Golden Awards for excellence in Branding and Marketing in 2014.

    Context

    The General Authority of Civil Aviation in Saudi Arabia is responsible for 27 Airports across the nation, handling 75 million passenger journeys and employing 74,000 people in the KSA it contributes 30bn Riyals to the national economy per year.

    Ambition

    With a strong commercial focus aligned with the desire to contribute towards the continual growth of the KSA, GACA approached us to help them organise their core business offer and to help define their brand in support of that strategy.

    Action

    By identifying viabilities and opportunities for growth we worked with GACA’s team to accelerate essential parts of the brand portfolio, realigning brand, product and service names to create a strong visual platform from which to launch the new brand.

    Results

    We were able to deliver a comprehensive range of services including: comparator audit, proposition and a refreshed visual identity to roll out across all key touch-points. By positioning GACA as a forward-looking entity and with a stand out graphic system we have helped to create a more active persona in order to boost brand awareness and visibility whilst always ensuring the seamless safety for Saudi skies.

  8. Pursuing Real Value For Your Every Move

    Context

    A leading national firm of estate agents with 46 offices across the UK, Jackson-Stops has been growing its reach, advising and supporting on property trading since 1910.

    Ambition

    Originally added alongside the founder’s name to build a family spirit within the company, it had become clear that the “& Staff” was not being understood by customers. Customer survey feedback showed that many clients were already just using ‘Jackson-Stops’ and it was time to make the change formally.

    With this came the potential to refresh the brand as a whole and faced with a rapidly growing digital real estate market and the fresh challenges that brings it was important to have a clean, contemporary brand that could stand out in the digital market place, as well as on the high street.

    Action

    We conducted a thorough audit of digital and brick-and-mortar estate agents, analysing the market and design trends of competing agencies. This let us understand how online trends and property portals are affecting the traditional agency model. We analysed the brand across hundreds of customer touchpoints – from sales boards and stationery to office fronts and advertising.

    Result

    The iconic Jackson-Stops symbol of a wolf holding an axe in his mouth is not just tied to a company, but originates from the Jackson-Stops family crest. Therefore, it was imperative to treat the mark with utmost respect and care. We carefully crated a mark that not only retains but celebrates this heritage, shaping a new symbol that is as comfortable on a family seal as it is as a digital icon.

    Alongside a sophisticated colour palette, softening the previous identity’s black to a rich navy blue, we worked closely with Jackson-Stops to develop the identity across the wide range of applications across the customer journey. After conducting detailed print and paint colour testing, we developed a thorough set of corporate and implementation guidelines across stationery, advertising and environments.

    The new identity was launched in September 2017 and we continue to support and advise Jackson-Stops, including in the development of a bold new website.

    Context

    Nestled amongst Riyadh’s rugged desert landscape Al Waseel is a wellness spa & resort set in a secluded conservation reserve intended for those seeking a rejuvenating retreat to serenity.

    Ambition

    Our ambition for Al Waseel was for it to be valued by Riyadh’s leaders in life as the most progressive, authentic and serene wellness spa & resort of choice.

    Action

    Borne out of the spirit of Al Waseel, the land, it’s people and it’s eternal connections we sought about creating a brand & identity for the resort that would encapsulate it’s timeless values just like the unique fossils that can be found in it’s environs.

    Results

    Having created an entirely new brand and identity we crafted a beautifully elegant bespoke symbol, wordmark and visual system that represent the Al Waseel’s ongoing commitment to luxury, refinement and sophistication.

  10. Insights Influence Impact

    Context

    Iridium was founded in 2015 as the Middle East’s first pure investor relations consultancy and technology firm. In a short time, Iridium established itself as the region’s leading investor relations advisor.

    Iridium’s business model is underpinned by the growing interest of international investors in MENA equities, greater regulation of investor relations by GCC governments and continuous advances in global best practices.

    Ambition

    Working across strategy, finance, investor relations and communications, Iridium brings rigour, coherence and consistency to the heart of senior management, and enables them to project confidence and clarity to the global investment community.

    Our task was to create a compelling corporate visual identity system, which would encapsulate Iridium’s ambition, proposition and guiding principles.

    Action

    We worked closely with Iridium to get a thorough understanding of its position in the market, its appeal to clients and the key differentiators the brand should stand for.

    We created a distinctive wordmark and symbol for Iridium that reflects the belief that high quality investor relations are the hallmark of successful capital markets.

    The wordmark and symbol are strongly interlinked, to represent the synergy Iridium builds with its clients, and are formed by the dots from each letter ‘i’ escaping the confines of the type to create an ellipsis symbol that hints at Iridium’s ability to identify and close gaps, and unlock new opportunities. The three dots also encapsulate Iridium’s three key principles: insights.influence.impact.

    The symbol then opened up a comprehensive visual identity system that enabled distinctive and dynamic brand communication. This system was rooted in a grid matrix, built from the dots of the ellipsis, and highlighting the attention to detail and fine technical analysis that Iridium prides itself on.

    Overall, the visual identity system includes a broad range of brand assets from new typography, a full logo suite, corporate stationery, infographics, icons and photography to marketing communications – including investment reports and digital newsletters. In addition we provided design direction for digital applications such as a new website, presentations and signage, wayfinding and brand environments.

    Response

    The new identity was unveiled to the capital markets investment community on Tuesday September 19, 2017 in Dubai at the Middle East Investor Relations Association (MEIRA) annual conference. Iridium’s bold new identity took a prominent position at the conference, thanks to Iridium’s sponsorship of the event.

    We have continued to support Iridium in the development of the identity since the initial launch, exploring additional elements and refining the design system to ensure its flexible use across different applications.
